πŸ”’ Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all apps published under my name and the website at fabianpimminger.com. It’s written under Austrian and EU data protection law (DSGVO / GDPR).

Analytics & Tracking

I don’t use any analytics tools, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts that observe your behavior. Your usage of my apps stays on your device.

Website visit

My website is hosted on Uberspace. Like every web server, it keeps basic log files when you visit β€” things like which page was requested, your browser type, and the timestamp.

Your IP address is anonymized before it’s ever written to a log, so even the server doesn’t know who you are.

πŸ”’ No cookies are set on this website. No ad networks. No cross-site tracking of any kind.

iCloud & CloudKit

Some apps use Apple’s CloudKit to sync your data across your own devices (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac). Here’s what that means in practice:

  • Your data lives in your private iCloud account, encrypted with your Apple ID.
  • I cannot see it, access it, or read it β€” ever.
  • I only receive a random app-specific identifier from Apple, not your Apple ID or any personal detail. This ID cannot be used to identify you or track you across apps.

πŸ”’ To delete your synced data or revoke access, go to Settings β†’ [Your Name] β†’ iCloud on your iPhone or iPad. More info at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Third-party service integrations

Some apps let you connect external services. This is always opt-in: nothing is connected or shared until you explicitly choose to do so inside the app.

When you connect a third-party service:

  • You’ll be asked to authorize the connection through that service’s own login screen.
  • Only the data needed for the feature you’re enabling is accessed β€” nothing more.
  • That data is processed on your device and is not sent to my servers.
  • The third-party service’s own privacy policy applies to how they handle your data on their end.

πŸ”’ You can revoke access at any time β€” either in the app’s settings, or directly in the connected service’s account settings. Revoking access stops any further data exchange immediately.

When you contact me

If you send me an email, I’ll store your email address and the content of your message so I can reply. I don’t share this with anyone.

External links

My apps and website may link to external sites or services. Once you leave, their privacy policies apply β€” I have no control over what they do with your data.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding any personal data I hold about you:

  • Access β€” you can ask what data I have about you.
  • Correction β€” you can ask me to fix inaccurate data.
  • Deletion β€” you can ask me to delete your data (unless I’m legally required to keep it).
  • Objection β€” you can object to how I process your data.
  • Portability β€” you can ask for a copy of your data in a common format.
  • Withdraw consent β€” if you gave consent, you can take it back at any time.

If you think your rights aren’t being respected, you can contact the Austrian data protection authority: dsb.gv.at.
